I was thinking we would because the difference between 12-14 was in the 4th decimal place.
We were at .5878 vs. Houston .5877 & USCe .5874.
It is ridiculous that the MSU/UK game could make us swing up or down a couple spots in that formula and potentially keep us from hosting.

state losing yesterday hurt us. i dont see how they get into the the top 25 now even if they go 2-1 and lose in the finals to us.

Yep.
I'm sticking to us needing to get to Sunday to be a lock for a host. We might be already, and I definitely feel better than I did 3 days ago, but I do not trust the committee.
That being said, even if we win the SECT, we're not getting a national seed. People need to let that go.

yeah. our rpi against top 25 isnt going to be very good. it could have definitely been better if state replaced bama in the top 25.

but they would also lose to us. i doubt 2-1 does it for them. i guess there is still a chance for sure because some others in front of them could also lose. And they're only 5 spots away.

While it would be nice to get our record against the top 25 closer to .500, I don't see that as a huge roadblock. Lots of teams have losing records against the top 25. Florida State, Rice, Miami, Ole Miss all do as well.
