That’s been dead for nearly 2 decades at this point.
It was a little bit justified in the mid 2000s when the media had a clear bias against SEC teams and they had an influence over who played for the NC.
Stopped being relevant in the early 2010s.

Back when we just had a national championship game, conference perception was important. We were frequently debating whether a one loss SEC team deserved to get in over an undefeated other. I would firmly root for any SEC team playing a non SEC team for that reason.
With the dawn, and then expansion, of the playoff system, it doesn’t matter anymore. I don’t particularly want to see SEC teams get embarrassed as it’s bad for the brand, but I don’t give a shite whether they win or lose.

I have NEVER chanted that chant. I've always rooted for the demise of every SEC team besides LSU.
I always thought that was extremely cringy
They all laugh when LSU loses. Then you go root for their teams because of some misplaced wierd aligence to a league that hates your guts?
I hope Ohio State and Michigan stomp a mud hole in the SEC arse this weekend and theyre a laughing stock.

Does anyone know if it's a requirement to have the SEC logo plastered on everything? Uniforms, the field, the down markers, the uniforms?
