I think it was a penalty, but your post above is just wrong. The stripe of our blocker's helmet is to the left of the leftmost 4 of the SC player.

Distance between punter and blockers is too damn close. We may soon see punts hit the back of blockers. We block our own punt.

I mean, as nitpicky as I can be, the helmet stripe (could be the photograph angle, mind you), of our blocker is shaded ever so slightly to that left (blocker's perspective) of the 2 4s, but on the other hand, his head is tilted a little to the left, too.

It is arguable that he is closer to being perfectly centered than "outside the framework". Damning for whomever at the SEC made/confirmed that call.

Special teams play has not been good under Kelly.

I’m just giving you a reason that it might not have been an interception. If you don’t believe that Julio was touching the ball while out of bounds that’s fine too. You asked me to give you a reason so I did.

He’s going to play the Julio touched it while out of bounds card, which isn’t the reason it was ruled incomplete to begin with but was conveniently noticed after the fact.

Yeah I can’t remember them giving a clear explanation on why, I’m just giving you a reason as to why it might actually be incomplete according to the rulebook.

Really? Why don't you quote the rule book and what rule it was "close" to? It was an NFL interception, he got 2 feet in.

I wanna hear it.

Do you think it’s legal for a player to be touching the ball while he is standing out of bounds?

That is funny, not one person has provided evidence that this is even remotely true. Hell, if that was possible, why didn't the SEC themselves state that this was the reason?

Hint: they didn't because they couldn't.

But that’s not valid. The ref didn’t cite that either.

It was and still is a completely illogical decision.

This is an oddly phrased question.

Players touch the ball while out of bounds all the time. Very rarely is it “illegal.”

You are telling me players touch loose balls while they are out of bounds and they let they play go on? And you are telling me that it happens all the time?

What’s not valid? Are you mad that they got the call wrong or that they didn’t cite why exactly they made the call?
