From Twitter

"#Alabama at TexasA&M game slated for 3:30 PM ET on Sept 14 to kick off #CBS 2013 CFB schedule"

With Florida and A&M on the schedule I'm crossing my fingers.

I think he was trying to say that he figured that Bama and ATM would be the CBS night game. Since it isn't gives us a good shot.

Yup would've figured CBS would go for the kill shot with two Top 10 teams (with no real prime time competition); one of which is the defending national champion playing the Heisman winner, on the road.

pisses me off that they only do 1 night game. So dumb

and they saw the ratings LSU bama got the past 2 years... they are gonna keep it at the night spot

Is the one night game a year a CBS choice or part of their agreement to cover NCAA games? I believe it is the latter.

True, but while I am optimistic on this team, it's worth noting that we have the toughest conference schedule in all of college football this season.
I guess the real options for night games would be (not in any order other than chronological)

1. Florida at LSU (10/12)

2. Florida vs. Georgia (11/2)

3. LSU at Bama (11/9)

4. Florida at South Carolina (11/16)

5. Texas A&M at LSU (11/23)

Alabama has the easiest conference schedule and nothing really worth primetime past visiting Texas A&M and hosting us.

Just released CBS schedule from other TD thread. LSU at Bama is most likely the night game

1. Possibly night depending on what other games are
2. Day
3. CBS Night
4. Night ESPN
5. CBS day

Kentucky has an argument here. Basically the same conf schedule as lsu but instead of aggy, arky, auburn they get Vandy, UT, and the clowney's

I agree to what you're saying, but drawing Mississippi State / Bama from across the division isn't anywhere near as bad as playing Florida and Georgia.

And yes I know Mississippi State and Kentucky are protected rivals.

No doubt lsu has tougher cross divisional games (or it appears that way in may), but as a whole conference schedule I'd say theirs is just as tough. Aggy and Carolina are on the same level and I'd say that Vandy and UT are ahead of auburn and arky

Eta: I think Florida takes a step back this year too, their offense was atrocious last year and they lost several stars on defense that won't be easily replaced
