This absolutely will not happen.
Maybe not, but it seems like something will happen.

I think they would owe us a lot of fricking money if they did anything effective immediately, whether that is cancelling games or refusing to give us our cut of the tv deal.
If they cancel games, it’s the conference cutting off it’s own nose to spite it’s face.

But who is the replacement?
I dont know, Shaq?

I keep seeing posts like this “well this team did this more than we did.”
I am totally ignorant on this topic. Why if other schools are doing this, we are the only one the SEC/NCAA cares about?
Give me an answer other than “they just hate us more”
LSU was considering rostering two players who signed NFL contracts. This was the only real difference. Was it meaningful with the two players? I don't think so, since they never even played a preseason game, and Hutson actually got paid more than one of the two players being considered.
When the SEC said signing an NFL contract is the line in the sand for the conference, LSU's statements may have made it seem like they would ignore that. The SEC reacted with a lawsuit and threats of expulsion.
In the end, we will see what the outcome is.

But LSU didn't roster the players; how is that ignoring what the SEC is requiring?

At this meeting LSU needs to STRESS that no SEC rules have been violated, and is actually in COMPLETE INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL. Also stress that SEC bylaws also state NCAA guidelines must be followed, then rattle off all the various TROs “Chambliss” that are openly being violated. Bediaco for Bama last year was a literal PRO….was Bama expelled? The hypocrisy needs to be pointed out.

But LSU continues to imply that they may roster them in the future. So it is mostly about forcing LSU to comply and to clarify their ability to enforce their rules. At least I think that is the case.

Yall aren't getting expelled. I really am confident there.

Certainly looks to me like the intent here is to either kick LSU out of the SEC or for LSU to agree to some significant penalties, such as forfeiture of games or suspension/termination of Coach Lane Kiffin.
This is a real vendetta now. It is personal.

I think you misunderstood my post. It was relative to the replacement of Sankey. I don't know who that would be.
And I am fervently in LSU's corner. I want to beat LSU with Kiffin.

You may be following this more closely than I have, but other than Kiffin's Joke at halftime, what has LSU done that proves they may, in the future, play "pro" players?

LSU fans know their program already attracts plenty of wanted and unwanted attention. The school period. However Hiring Kiffin who consistently has been known for public feuds, unfiltered press conferences, and other things could pose as a threat to LSU's legacy, brand, and school.
It was a questionable, and yet almost another lazy hire to begin with. Why would you go after that just to win. Winning at all costs, just may cost you in the end for real right?? I just thought the LSU Athletic and possibly University Leadership would have been more on top of this.

Hayes and Dellenger and Finebaum have been being fed stuff directly from the SECs playbook for a couple of weeks now.
I would take what they’re saying as accurate in the sense that it is what the SEC presidents want out in the public. Based on that it seems clear this has reached a point where they want LSU to pay a fine and suspend Kiffin to fully bend the knee and show they can be shamed into obeisance, and then at this meeting they will vote to sanction LSU and say if you do anything like this again we will expel you.
Idk if we have any levers to fight back with. Hopefully we do.

I am proud that my univerity has refrained from making any statement.
i'm being called an idiot for wanting prooof that 100% of the SEC wants LSU expelled even though they didn't even roster a pro? player (whatever that means Stankey doesnt know either)
lastly, i'm proud your university didn't make a statement also.

Did everyone want Bama gone with Saban? Why does anyone want LSU gone with Kiffin? I want to kick his arse.

"Pro" player is the right way to couch this, but unfortunately, it has been.
Lane has said that as long as the players are enrolled as students, they could be rostered in the future. Subsequently, he has pretty much refused to answer if they might down the road. I think that is the concern for the SEC. But who knows what is in Sankey's mind. This could be personal. It kind of looks like it.
