The two players are going to sue the SEC for breaching the injunction granted by the court.
The SEC office and School presidents opened themselves up for an expensive loss by trying to act quickly instead of studying the issue.
These people cannot govern themselves because they don't understand the legal intricacies of "amateur" athletics.
ETA: they can sue LSU too, if they choose to

Lack of institutional control in Birmingham. Sankey is killing the SEC brand.

The players winning a massive lawsuit that ends up costing millions of dollars from public institutions is going to lead to Sankey being g gone and the president of Tennessee wouldn’t be far behind.
In fact we should kick Tennessee out if the other members have to pay for their wreckless leaderships actions

And LSU will point to the threats by the league as reason, including incurring financial damage. State court can still hold the sec in contempt.

They won't; they know who is behind this. Can't blame LSU when the attorneys know they were trying to get the guys enrolled and set before the SEC went crazy.
