Maybe because the 2011 offense failed to pick up a single first down against Georgia until the 3rd quarter. Or the 2011 offense didn't even cross the 50 until the 4th quarter in the freaking National Championship game?

So when 2003 does it against a much worse team than either 2011 Bama or 2011 UGA, we ignore it?

Using points as a determining factor isn't exactly accurate considering the 2011 team scored a lot on defense and special teams and created a ton of turnovers.

MYTH. 2003 and 2011 both scored 9 non offensive TDs.

The 2003 offense got better as the season progressed, the 2011 offense got worse.

2011 scored 40+ points in 4 of their last 5 games. 2003 scored under 30 in 3 of their last 5 games.

2012 had top five players and shouldve won it all. See 2011 as well.

Mo and Mathieu would have 3 INTs on Flynn and/or Mauck. Minimum. Although Laron would have made Lee pee his pants.

2011 is all time greatest.

1969 team has to be in the discussion. If not for the hiccup at Ole Miss they may have very well won the National Championship.
Before everyone has a meltdown with that comment, ask some old timers who saw them play.

2011 Was most dominant LSU team I ever saw... The JJ/CLM/JLee b-job fiasco notwithstanding
2007 Was second, lost two triple OT games and if that sleeze/douche bag from Auburn hadn't cut Dorsey they would have been undefeated
2003 Third
1958 as omage to their NC
But fifth is the one that should be 1969.
Dominating D. Lost one game to top 5 Notre Dame at Notre Dame by 3-0... They could easily be my number 3 team...

1908 Team 10-0! Sadly, they get overlooked! Doc Fenton & company were the best!

Agree on 1969 team. You have to take the team in the context of when they played. Cannot say 2006 team would beat 1969 team. Totally different. Apple and Orange. In relation to the time it was playing 1969 was top 2.

If they 2007 team had played in a different era, they would have been undefeated.

12-0-2.
