This is correct it's early as frick, we have Aranda and this team is missing a ton. This offense has many moving parts so of course they will struggle. With that being said with all these moving parts it will have to help our young guys and defense learn how to stay patient not over run things and play their lanes. This is great practice for this team, I'm freakn pumped not worried about the defense one bit.
This team is going to look completely different boys and girls. We will be in every game there will be no more blowouts for LSU. If we can score 30 points in every game I really like our chances with Aranda in control of the D.
Once the big time recruits get a feel for this new era of LSU football it's flippn on. We will have our pick of big time recruits really wanting to join this new squad. I'm excited but I think this team is as well. Game on SEC!

-opening TD was Chark not Davis. Was scheme TD more than anything (as in not a bad play by player on D)
-It was 1v1 all day, only mixed tiers one drive unlike all scrimmage under miles. In regards to "stats," Etling went against 1s on D all game. Etling is your QB, and had at least 4 throw aways due to perfect play recognition by the first team D.
-Mcmillan > Scott at this stage as far as decision making. Scott is our runner at the position though.
-Davis had 1 catch (was with 1s). 35 yard go where he beat toliver at the line
-chark is special. Will have a year worthy of his new number
Chark and Davis are your 1 and 2. Gage had some special plays. Anderson had a great play, and some mistakes. Don't think Dillon got a ball live, but looked fast in drills. Dillon can move. WR were getting sweeps from any and everywhere.
-Donte Jackson looked great. Toliver made some nice plays outside of Davis go route
-Delpit was the playmaker on D today. Don't see how he won't see the field early and often.
-deplit and Monroe are going to get minutes, I'm sure Stevens is as advertised too just nothing of note to report today
-Thornton played w 2s but defends the edge on plays going wide about as well as you can. Can't speak on passrush, Anthony was with 1s at buck though

I don't think I've ever seen Davis play but everyone says he is a freak show athlete.
I'm excited to see what Chark looks like in a real offense. It has been criminal how our talented WRs never got showcased under Les. Every time Chark touches the ball he looks like he could take it to the house.

#1 - he has been playing out of position since he has been here.
#2 - Deion Jones and Kwon Alexander say hello.
lol Kwon entered the draft after 3 seasons and started as a TrFR until a broken ankle at UF
Debo made enough plays in his first 3 years that no one was really concerned with him starting.
I'm not sure what comparison you're trying to make but it's definitely not a good example.

Front 7 was thin, no subs per drive either. Fresh DL rotation in games is the difference between a real game and this scrimmage.

Great post but this seems like typical spring practice info.
Also, explosive plays are great but I also want to see the offense driving down the fields picking up first downs and eating the clock.

As always stats and scrimmages are smoke and mirrors. With the road guantlet this fall 9-3 at best. Let the down votes commence.
you are correct in that practice is just.....practice. BUT, you're being an a-hole

Sounds good. Thanks for the updates.
Someone will always have something to complain about. If the defense shut the offense out, people would be in uproar about Canada and the offense. The new, well-schemed offense has the new, depleted defense's number and chicken littles are having babies.
Somebody has to come out on top. I'd rather have a battle in our scrimmages instead of nobody having success. Nobody learns like that. For the offense, players learn the offense and what it's like to execute. The defense learns from mistakes and how to make reads and adjustments looking at film.
