I would rather people concentrate on going buck wild and actually staying the whole game more so than looking pretty for the TV.

So putting on gold shirts will somehow make people forget to cheer? I don't know about you, but it takes me about 2 seconds to put on a gold shirt. After that I'm free to concentrate on just about anything.

all of the stuff you mentioned except the helment stickers makes either the game day experience or the actual team better, everyone wearing gold shirts does neither.

I don't understand the big deal. What do you gain by intentionally not wearing gold? Yah, you're really showing them

"Okay, I'll give you your $4,000 for 4 season tickets, but I'll be damned if you make me wear a gold tee shirt!"

Just wear the damn shirt if you have one. If you don't, shut up.

Actually, I think that gold is the bigger problem because there are a number of variations from canary yellow to true gold and most merchandise that people actually wear is purple, white, or mixed, not much is solid "gold." White is white and black is black; those are a lot easier to pull off.

Asking the fans to wear the same color is nothing new. Some people on here make it sound like Penn St. came up with something new with their "White Out". This has worked here in the past and it will work Saturday with or without the "rebels" on this board.

Perhaps a sunset gold, with deep grape piping, a nice handbag and sensible pumps?

Some of you guys are real Internet hardasses! I like how people spend thousands of dollars on tickets but can shell out $15 for a gold shirt. I'm sure that most of u hardasses have a gold shirt in the closet. Also, it hasn't been said yet but what about the Vandy game back in the 90's. It was CGD 1st season I think and they would not let us wear white at home. So the higher ups put together the idea to "White out Vandy" it was one of my favorite games. I will not be going to the game, but I will be wearing a gold shirt to show my support. I don't see why it's so hard for others to wear one. You can be just as drunk and loud in gold as u could in any other color.

Penn State didn't invent this idea, nor did the Big Ten. People will always try to act "cool" by saying they won't do anything, but the non-yellow-wearing people with smug looks on their faces will look like douchebags. What if it were a purple-out?

These threads are so rewarding...
Same folks who are always redesigning our uniforms, helmets and logos.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
