Yes... by all means... because it would be SO bad for LSU to have a Heisman trophy candidate.
Look... we all know the media crowns the Heisman Trophy winner practically before the season even starts. Duh.
It's already too late for Charles Scott to win the Heisman. That's a fact. He could run for 2000 yards and not make a dent in the voting... because no one heard about him BEFORE THIS YEAR.
It takes a full year of p.r. campaigning to get someone into the Heisman picture. That's why Josh Reed, probably our best shot production-wise at getting the Heisman in generations... didn't make any noise when he had his amazing year. The rest of the nation was still saying "Who the f*** is Josh Reed?" when he was tearing up Illinois in the Sugar Bowl.
Pushing Charles Scott this year for the Heisman is actually about NEXT year.
It's bad enough he plays in the SEC, in which it is very difficult to win a Heisman (see Peyton Manning). I don't think we need our own people to subvert our effort to get this young man recognized.
What are you, shy are something? Do you think "they're all going to laugh at you" because you like Charles Scott?

The point of talking about Scott for Heisman is to get his name in the mix. He has similar stats to Moreno who is being talked about non stop by the media because he is flashy. Scott is not that kind of guy, but he is a great back. Unfortunately, the Heisman is just like all other things in College Football these days. You have to be in the talk early in order to have a chance. Otherwise, you could finish the season with the same stats as Moreno, but not even be considered. It is just like not being ranked at the begining of the season and going undefeated, but still not getting to play for the title. Scott may have agreat season, and he may not, but with what he has done so far, he deserves to be in the conversation.
