Lets look at each Tigerdroppings follower contributing to a LSU scholarship in Sids name. Perhaps TAF or Sports Dept could coordinate this.

I think a better gesture would be to make a donation in his honor to childhood cancer research

This...

How about putting money towards a grant that's awarded to a fellow at the LSU school of Medicine which focuses on cancer research.

If you want to Donate for Cancer. Donate to St Judes Hospital they give completely free medical tx for kids with cancer and they fly these kids and house them and their families for free during tx. It's the only organization that I donate to because I love what they do with my money.

Good idea, but I doubt we could raise enough to really make a difference, cancer research especially for something like osteosarcoma is really expensive. However every little bit helps. Another idea would be to raise money for a fund that helps pay for cancer treatments at the new LSU Childrens Hospital in BR. I'd be down whatever the board decides and will donate to it.

Great point. All replies suggesting something positive will be of benefit as long as we take some action.

Awesome idea.....I posted this on the thread about stickers for helmets

Personally I've been touched by a very close friends child having bone cancer and dying, it was a brutal painful death.

I'm on the fence about having a Sid sticker on the helmets. What I'd really like to see is a Sid sticker like many people's avatars are now for sale($5-10) with the proceeds going in Sid's name to St Jude's childhood cancer research fund that IMO would both honor Sid & do some good for others. Seems to me Sid was the type of person who would smile at that. I know I'd buy at least one or two for my vehicles.

RIP Sid

Not a fan of the OP calling for every TD follower to contribute. I won't be publicly shamed or challenged into giving to anything. Anyone that does want to give, that is sincerely great. But don't say each person should give. Charitable giving is a very personal choice. That's why there are down votes to the OP.

Don't assume logic relates to down votes.

Let's let this unkindness (downvoting) take its course: It's a case of 'what goes around comes around'--I have found that the unkindness someone commits against someone else in time will bring its brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends to visit--and usually for more than it takes for a dead body to decay on the back of someone carrying it (someone once said: Woe is me--who can deliver me from this body of death?).
