And now the only people that will even remember you made it to the finals will be LSU fans when we talk about who we beat for number 8.

That line really made me chuckle.
You just lost two in a row after winning 26 straight. Your season was irrelevant before and even more so now. How tf is this dude a head coach?

don't understand why we're so concerned about this dude. frick em
They lost
Remember when we beat arkansas this last time, and there were some shots of some players crying? Most people really didn’t dog on them because that's a fair emotion for a damn good team that played a game they probably should have won, and those players didn’t even talk trash that I'm aware of. There was no "justice" in it. It was a tough break for them, and the emotions they showed were actually something to empathize with.
We are drinking this dude's tears because it's well fricking deserved.

Can someone remind him that he coaches in the Sun Belt conference?
I’m gonna repeat something I mentioned a couple of days ago:
People around here were up in arms when we lost to Northwestern State in a midweek game. Meanwhile, 36 of Coastal Carolina’s 55 regular season games (including 10 of 12 weekend series, and 4 of their losses) were against teams with lower RPI than Northwestern State.
Think about that. 2/3 of their games were against teams worse than Northwestern State.
They deserve a ton of credit for winning that Auburn super regional and making it to the finals, but this “potential best season ever” shite is absolutely laughable.

quote:What stood out to me was what he said about the umpires-
He also was ripping on the ump, said he needs to own it and take responsibility, then proceeds to make excuses while also hammering on the ump's athleticism. He was also talking about manhood or something. This guy has serious issues honestly. His attitude and arrogance is his undoing and doesn't even realize it. Horrible coach. He's much worse than Vitello.
"As an umpire, I feel it's your job to manage the game, the national championship game, with some poise, some calmness, and a little bit of tolerance"
Well stated- and that should also apply to the coaches. Interesting that he uses the phrase "manage", because that's what they call the head coach in MLB, the manager.
And of course, this angry frickstick didn't seem to see the irony and hypocrisy in his words, after the way he behaved. He completely lost his poise and calmness, and by his own admission became so offended that he was "shoo'd" back to the dugout, he was unable to tolerate what he needed to, to be there managing the game for his team.
In contrast, this happened yesterday-
quote:
LSU defeated Coastal Carolina 1-0 to take a critical 1-0 lead in the best of three College World Series championship. The game wouldn’t be without its controversy, though.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, LSU’s Daniel Dickinson came up to the plate against Chanticleers pitcher Dominick Carbone. After working a full count through eight pitches, Dickinson was nailed in his elbow with the pitch.
Called a hit by pitch in real time, the officiating crew reviewed the call and found that Dickinson had leaned into the pitch. Tigers head coach Jay Johnson wasn’t too pleased about the review and tried to meet with the the umpire in the aftermath. Johnson cleared up what was said between him and the official during the brief encounter before the game resumed.
“As far as — after you’re not supposed to go out there after a review. So the umpire was correct,” Johnson said. “I know that. I knew that. I just wanted clarification for — the ball was clearly in the batter’s box. I’m not sure what he was supposed to do.
“It’s a tough rule where you’re rewarding the pitcher for throwing a ball in that case. I thought he did make an attempt to roll. But at that point my team needs me to stay poised and focused and calm and, as they said, get to the next pitch. That was that. So you’re not allowed to after review you’re not allowed to go back out to the umpire.”
And that, boys and girls, is why we have the better coach.

Oregon state was 56-4 and then played LSU. Don’t recall their coach saying if the could’ve beaten LSU they could have gone into baseball history as one of the best ever.
