Couldn’t it also be the coaches / scheme sucked on his prior stops? Unless it’s Pat mahomes or someone on that level it’s hard to succeed if the offense is not designed to the QB strengths and play calling sucks.

If the only offense he succeeds in wasn’t the one designed to be easy for QBs, I’d agree with you

What qb has been successful not in a system designed to… make the qb successful?

It's hard to not be in a variant of the Shanny/McVay system these days. They're incredibly complicated, FWIW. Kirk is an incredibly smart QB so he's never had a problem with it.

Cousins is really good. When he's really on, he's great.

Extremely accurate passer which is the secret sauce to having a long and productive NFL career.

I do understand. The QBs that have won in “non friendly” qb systems have never really gotten the credit for their team winning.

And bad QBs that are in bad in these “friendly” systems get all the blame.

So the coach gets the credit when the qb is good, but the player gets the blame if they qb is bad.

And for the record, I think Cousins is what he is. He’s not going to play you out of the game, but he can’t make big plays and is way too happy to throw it behind the sticks in big moments when you need him.

This entire argument is just dumb though because people are going to assign the credit of blame however they view the player regardless of system
