2. Vexed means annoyed or frustrated. The fact that he was a complete failure in his only other full time coaching job has me both annoyed and frustrated.

That is all great. But guess what he is hired. Why get all vexed before he coaches a game as the permanent head coach. He isn't getting fired before the season. I'm excited because I love Lsu football and would rather be optimistic than pessimistic.
