We should take a shot with Sark. I'm tired of being in the bottom fifth of total offense. He'd mix in a lot of different looks and it wouldn't take long for our players to get a handle on his playbook. I can just picture our high scoring offense chugging along.
Sark has taken the Falcons with a QB that has a league MVP award, and a top tier WR corp and turned their offense into total shite in less than 2 full seasons. Horrible in the red zone. He was not impressive at Bama, nor USC, etc. No way I want that guy and I'm not a Falcons fan.

He’d fit right in.

What the hell is up with this board wanting to hire immoral drunks and sleazebags? LSU is better than that.
Is it? Do you know our current head coach’s past?

On top of all of this, turning over a new Offensive Coordinator every year is BAD for the program. The players, who also want to win and score points, clearly have faith in E. Hiring any new OC (including Lane) is not a sure-fire proposition, better off letting the current staff keep establishing their system.

In 2019 Bama will be on OC #3 in 3 years. If you hire good coaches it doesn't matter.

Agreed... BUT it will NEVER satisfy LSU fans who want to score 50 a game and give up 10......

Obviously you know nothing about Orgeron's past history.
I know he has turned his life around and learned from his mistakes.
I can accept that.

I want paterno, freeze, woody hayes, switzer, briles, dennis Erickson, and ron meyer if it means hoisting "the golden labia" trophy

If the man has stopped drinking too much and is past the hard partying I don't see why he couldn't be brought in as co offensive coordinator or passing game coordinator or some such. People deserve second chances.

quote:agreed. And another great example is Kiffin. He came in his first year and got great productivity from Blake Freaking Sims at QB, and made it to the playoffs.

College offenses aren't that complex and players can pick them up pretty quickly.

Well, except for the restraining order against Ogre for attacking a woman, that's all good, right?
Well we could have used a little attitude when Craig ran across the field in College Station.

Yes all have flaws. Joe Pa, no one knew about (outside the inner sanctum of Penn State athletics) until it was too late.
Some of the scum this message board has wanted to bring on ..... their shitty diapers are public knowledge so... yes do not hire them, we are better than that. Let's not sell our soul for the sake of winning.

I’m not saying it wouldn’t be a step in the right direction, but LSU needs to hit this hire out of the park. Sark isn’t that guy.

Jack, I don't want to wait any longer, BUT this Ensminger STYLE of Offense is exactly what Ed Orgeron wants (per Mike Detillier). Hell, I get a little queasy typing that, but its the flat out truth. They sat on the lead at A&M, scared to throw the ball to get a 1st down. They share the same mentality with Les Miles. And not much has changed with the scheme, except for a few wrinkles. They're too chicken to spread. They think maximum protection is their only chance, which is a dinosaur mindset that actually gives your offense LESS of a chance. It is a horrendous sight, Jack, but I'm afraid we're stuck with this garbage.
