so miles has always been great at player and game management? On the field discipline? Preparation? Really?
Comparatively, yes.
There are maybe 5-6 coaches that are objectively overall better than Miles in CFB. That's a pretty short list.

and for those people who are going to say that miles wins on talent alone, then the sec isn't the toughest conference. if it's the toughest conference, you can't win on mere talent or luck. it has to be earned.
This cannot be said enough. Christ, SEC fans as a whole talk out both sides of their mouth constantly!!
Beat Georgia by 4 pts. FIRE MILES HE SUCKS!!!
2 mins later...THE SEC IS TOUGHER THAN THE NFC EAST SON!!!

Yes. And the perspective is no more SEC championships or national championships. You think Bama and Auburn care about # of wins vs actually winning things?

I was really disappointed in the game plan and the way it played out in the first half
I have determined that when people say "game plan" they must really mean "blocking".
I actually was impressed how much the coaches tried to let AJ throw in the first half. He looked way better once we started blocking in the second half.

He's getting paid 5 million dollars a year, it's okay to say he isn't the best thing since sliced bread and suck him off.
Whenever people talk about Miles, why do you people think about men blowing each other?

Don't forget the delay of game penalties that we have had coming fresh off of timeouts during Miles' tenure (not last night). That's maddening.

When the other team is stacking 8/9 in the box and he has to keep trying to prove that we are tougher...I question his coaching.
Is he trying to prove we are tougher or wear them down? Would you rather him sticking with his game plan which he believes will eventually work or panicking and just trying to throw different crap on the wall hoping something sticks?

You Miles bashers are a hoot. You can't brag about your team winning, so you have to hang your hat on delay of game penalties.

What we want is for the coaches to put this team in a position where our depth and talent can dictate outcomes at the end
There it is. So just WHO takes credit for the ACQUISITION of talented players who will sign up in numbers, even realizing that playing time/competition will be a factor?
Our gifted benefactor...LES MILES. Who runs an NFL Offense, and has former quality NFL assistant coaches to back him up. And offer a virtual and qualified football education/pipeline for the young men that hope to play on Sunday.
Les is a good guy, or those kids and their families wouldn't trust him. Thank the Good Lord!
I think Wiscy had a hell of a running game. We'll get better.

You can't be in a position to "win things" as you put it, unless you win the games during the regular season. Except for a couple of years, LSU under Les Miles has consistently been in position late in the season to win the SEC championship if not the national championship.

Does winning the game negate any negative observations?
I think this is an important thing to either agree or disagree concerning Les.

Considering we almost killed two of their players and then watching there d line fold like a cheap lawn chair I would say this strategy worked pretty well. As is does more often than not in the past 10 years.

I will say what I actually have been observing from Les Miles teams, and someone said it on a post above, he comes into a game with a gameplan that you would think Grizzly Adams wrote, thinking he is safe pounding the rock into the line by his big ole grizzly bear offensive line. It does not work most of the time and defenses stack the box and stop us. Last night we lose big if Wisc does not lose that Nose Guard, plus they lost the other lineman early.
This Wisc team had all new guys on the front 7 and they were getting it done as we had 1.5 ypc before their NG went down. After we started passing (Because we were down by 17 frigging points, we made a come back (and did I mention their NG went down)
Chavis also got us back into the game as he adjusted his scheme on Def and we held them in check the second halk minus that long run to start the 3rd Qtr by their stud RB. Why they stopped using him, I think they get frustrated easily once we stuffed a few of their runs.
Without more, Les Miles won last night on talent, good fortunes for other team losing a few key players and his def coordinator making great changes. In the first half I saw 2011 offense against Ga. and the rematch with Bama...period
And to see other teams with true freshman or young players come out like gangbusters makes me think Les is too conservative and does not understand it is hard to run through 9 man def fronts.
He was dam lucky to win that game last night and most was talent and his coordinators making some changes. He needs more 3 WR sets to unlock the def stacking up (That simply). A little motion and or mis direction would also make the def guessing.
