Auburn is up 4-0 & Dutton has pitched 6 innings with 74 pitches.
Pretty good in that Cracker Jack's prize ball park

Someone should do a wellness check on Burreaux. He must be pretty broken up about Tennessee losing another game.

Dutton was given every opportunity here. He was very inconsistent. Unmotivated, didn't want to be here, who knows? Change of scenery and coaching staff certainly has paid dividends for Dutton.

It’s not a big deal. I wish Dutton the best.

I didn't see any parts of the game, though. Did Doyle really pitch enough last night to burn him for the weekend? Seems like he could have come in for a short stint for the early game.
Guy is probably a top 15 draft pick. You don’t risk an arm
Injury.

He is from AL and his brother is on the roster at AU. He left for those reasons. The change of scenery has paid off for him.

I disagree. If he would have already been a starter here pitching like this he wouldn't have left. He left to play. He chose Auburn because he's from there and to play with his brother. I'm not saying he didn't have every opportunity here. It's 100% his fault that he didn't have a bigger role here.

Maybe a pitching coach taught him something about pitching.

Glad to see Sam Dutton having success! Wish he was still a Bayou Bengal, but understand why he left.

Can you put this crap on the Auburn board? The obsession is just sad. And he’s not a tiger. Therefore this doesn’t belong on Tiger Rant. Take this elsewhere.

Yeah I’m going to have to agree in this case. Dutton is sort of “in our face” kind of a deal at this point, and I’m sick of it. Maybe he won a bet with God; I don’t know, and I’d rather ignore the situation altogether because you’re right he is not a LSU Fighting Tiger.

I don’t remember someone saying Dutton would be a team saver. Just because he left LSU, it doesn’t mean that Dutton hasn’t grown & improved into to a very respectable pitcher. I’m happy for him. Wish he was still at LSU
