Coach O says Sage is going to be on the return team.

I hope Flott is better this season. Dude was getting burned on ever play last year

That problem was not unique to Flott.

While not at a 100% rate, 5 star recruits often see the field quickly:

2020 - Gilbert, Ricks, Boutte
2019 - Stingley, Brooks
2018 - Marshall

So it is VERY likely Ryan (along with Smith) join those ranks

If Sage does get the nod, we would have 3 DB’s on the field that were day 1 starters in the SEC.

Did you mean “NFL”? Because no matter who starts we’ll have more than 3 DBs who are day one starters in the SEC.

I meant “day 1” as in: they came in and started immediately, as true freshmen, in the SEC. It’s not that common to have a guy talented enough out of high school to step in and immediately start at DB, and we have two - maybe three- on the team.

Obviously we will have at least 3 starters on day one of the season.

Flott gonna play plenty though. Dude can ball and will probably hold down a corner spot opposite of Ricks next year.

Flott probably ends up playing Dime and backing up a corner spot. Say what you will, but it’s good to have a guy with his experience playing that last spot and in a reserve role. If everyone stays healthy, he won’t be taking on the opponent’s top WRs.

Flott moved to safety

Jay Ward moved to safety. Flott doesn’t have the build to play there.

Dwight Mcglothern will have something to say about that
