That Louisiana politics control everything that is LSU. All BOS members appointed by Governors office and they are the ones tying the hands of any and all hirings. The coach will get not who he wants but who BOS want. This has been going on for the 50 yrs or longer.

This is exactly what kept LSU down before the Saban era. It's back now and it doesn't work.

You're 100% right. It's totally sad that governors, legislators, and boards are more concerned with higher education than football.

At first IO thought, "what?", then I caught on to the sarcasm and had to laugh. Not much sense made on this board. I'm ready to quit but I wonder what stupidity can follow. There are some miserable people here that are trying to bring down a great program for their selfishness driven by ignorance.

I don't doubt this played "some part" in the "Farmer Fran" hiring regime. However, the BOS had nothing to do with anyone Miles hired or Saban...their actions speak to the collective concerns the BOS have with the AD and HC..please stop spinning this bullshite narrative to give O a life line

looked up the BOS - they have spaced terms to keep the governor from controlling the board. can be done - but hard - they cannot remove a member - unless their is cause!
i think they are doing good job! keeping coaches off that have caused other schools to pay 100 million to clean up a mess i.e. penn st, ole miss, baylor, one member cannot control sports

That's what I know but some try hard and believe theirs is a voice that is heard. Nobody in the football building hears the crap on here.
