And sitting in the locker room before the game, I was really nervous about the way our team looked because they didn’t look like they usually do. They were kind of quiet and kind of not how they usually are. And it was a concern. You never know how they’re going to respond when they go out there and start playing. I think there was a lot of nervous energy, I think there was a lot of anxiety and that’s really what I was trying to avoid.

Maybe they should schedule more competitive games earlier in the year to be better prepared

So, they were a 7 to 10 point favorite, playing at home to a team that they had beaten eight times in a row, won 30 something consecutive home games, and they “didn’t look like they usually do”. Sounds like Saban is already making lame excuses.

Something seems wrong over there. This and the earlier practice video posted was very odd.

Saban may truly be done.

More “Spin” from Saban — so ESPN can use the excuse: “Tua was unhealthy, the team had a bad game, and they should get a DO-OVER”

Saban’s “do the process” system has lost touch with the players. The dynasty has seem it’s better days.

Yeah I've got a lot of respect for saban, but this sounds like an bad excuse.

Why would they be scared of a team they beat bad 29 points last year?

The Saban spin machine in full effect. It wasn't coaching it was the players. O owns up and says I have to do a better job.

Saban gets to feel what LSU has felt for over a decade. Bama’s Juniors are finally leaving their program in droves over the last couple of years. His message has gotten old. The money they offer for them to stay their Senior season isn’t enough for them to put up with his shite another year and not bolt for the NFL. They’re finally starting to see that when you are forced to play very young players and have any injuries at all, the standard of play with drop. LSU has changed their narrative and has gotten their players to stay under O.

I was pretty good friends with the basketball coach at Iowa State who was known for an intensity similar to Saban’s. That intensity in this day and age wears on players, yes they have been very successful as was ISU during Larry’s tenure. But there were times the players late in a season would just be burnt out and it was mostly due to the pressure put on by the coach.

I think when today’s players see other teams having success without the coach going ape shite over every mistake they start to wonder why they made the choice they did.

Sounds like a description of Bama's practices this week.

I really think he hasnt been using enough “aights “ recently. Once he steps up his “aight” usage they should be aight.
