ETA: He also planned to do it in 1996, but the week before the game was when we broke out the canary yellows against Vandy. Spurrier said he was concerned about his QBs not being able to pick out a receiver among the yellow and white jerseys, so he went ahead and had his team wear their normal blue home jerseys. He had secured LSU's permission to wear white in Gainesville in '96 as part of the agreement to let us wear white in Baton Rouge in '95. The same deal was in effect in '97 and '98, but this time he went ahead and had Florida wear white and we wore gold.

I don't think SOS ever did it, I think asked us to wear purple in Gainesville once and if we didn't he wouldn't let us wear white in TS. Vandy refused to let us wear white once when DiNardo was HC, but I think that's it.

Has a link to the article ever been posted, about what Coach Saban saying they are going to wear the White Jerseye's? I have not seen one yet.
