What did Stephen say back? I thought Ryan had good points and felt the need to defend himself. It wasn't his idea to bring it up. Media absolutely uses athletes as pawns and thinks they're too dumb to see what's going on.

I'm not sure what happened, but I'll do my best. Take it FWIW.
Some time last week, IIRC, Kevin Durant said Skip Bayless didn't know basketball. So Bayless talked about how he played in high school. And then some other athletes called Skip out because he wasn't as good as he said he was. And Skip took it personally and it started this First Take debate on media criticism and athletes.
Here's a link to Ryan's full appearance earlier this week.

I haven't seen what happened lately, but apparently both Stephen A Smith and Skip have been criticizing what Ryan said. Ryan is pissed that they couldn't air those grievances while he was there, and instead waited til he was gone.
I'm sure I missed alot. This is just what I've pieced together.

1.What topic is being discussed?
2. What was RC's point and what was SAS' point?
3. Did the "owning" occur becase of how it ended "You know what to kiss" part?

Ryan basically says the line is a player's psyche; unless you've sat in that player's seat, you can't know what he's thinking, so don't criticize his thoughts.
Not sure about Stephen A Smith. I think he's pissed b/c Clark said something about Smith insinuating that athletes (maybe "black athletes") aren't articulate enough to to his job. SAS says all he's ever done is work to help the black athlete.
Again, not sure about all this. Haven't seen what

I don't agree with Clark at all. I hate this "you don't do what we do attitude" athletes take towards people criticizing them. Jalen Rose got into the same argument with Stephen A and Skip over the same principle.
It's a complete crap argument. So in that case no one can criticize anyone else at anything unless it's someone specific from that field. Don't criticize the garbage man, you aren't in his field. Same with the bartender, the waiter, or the mcdonald's cashier. You don't do what they do. You don't have the right.
