Russell Shepard is almost as comical as Trev Faulk leaving early

Would be the biggest mistake of his life. The kid was barely holding on to his job over Jarvis Landry all year, and he thinks he's ready for the NFL. I predict he'd be a 7th round pick or a free agent.

I would leave if I were him too, Les screwed him over

Russell Shepard has never lived up to his hype.

Assuming the kid doesn't have a personal situation for leaving early where he needs a quick paycheck.

I totally understand his frustration. He's pissed as he should be. But as of right now BEFORE workouts, his draft stock is next to nothing and he has to be aware of this, right?
I just don't think the answer is entering the draft. Odds are he will be unemployed by the end of training camp, and have no college degree yet.
He should have sucked it up and finished out his senior year, earned his degree, then tried his luck to make an nfl roster.

I tend to agree. Going to a smaller school would be a better option if he absolutely feels the need to move on. I don't think he'd be drafted.

Agree. A WR that can't catch a ball. He should be used a PR and KR.

He already made that mistake by coming here in the first place.

yea and Russell will be laughing all the way to the bank with a nice, multi-million dollar signing bonus.

Honestly, I'd get out of here too if I were him. He's being shite on by Les, and it's most likely in his best interest to move somewhere else if he wants any playing time. Maybe one year at a D-II and then the draft? If you're good enough, the NFL WILL find you, so where he goes really isn't a problem.

disagree

I wanted to see RS in the game more and love how he has carried himself as a LSU Tiger but... IMO he needs to calm down and come back next year to finish his degree and improve as a player

From who? Even Mike Detillier, who is extremely favorable to local players, said he's at best a 5th rounder.

False, it's WAYYYY more comical

Trev was an all American and we assumed he would get drafted

RS is a head scratcher
