Including -19 for Dak. If these rushing stats are a sign of things to come, LSU will make the playoffs. What would be stupid is to not lean on a beastly running game like this team has.

I know...I know...ten men in the box, play calling, blah blah blah. Don't worry. Harris, the passing game, and this stable of receivers will come. They almost did last night except for the untimely penalties.

If you can't be encouraged and excited for the rest of this season, you just can't be helped. You're just a "glass half empty" kind of person. And that's a sucky way to live.

What about the passing yards total? Does that equate to playoffs too? Get a clue. Lsu will not make the playoffs if they aren't willing to attempt a downfield pass

The reality is that we deserved to get beat as timeran out. Our kids looked awesome but we were so predictable we barely hung on. Even dan mullen said

Said Dan Mullen. "He had us on our heels in the first quarter. We had to stop loading the box and respect the pass. We were fortunate that he reverted to a predictable game plan and he put us in a position to win. We just didn't finish the job."

Best part was they had almost 30 attempts for 43 yards, it was something like 1.7ypc

Like maybe Oregon...what has their "high flying" offensive philosophy won for them. They lose every big game they play and have nothing at all to show for all their years of fancy play calling.

How much more beastly would the numbers be if say we passed for 150-200 and had 2-3 more TDs going into 4th qtr?

No...like every team that wins a championship at every level of football can run the ball and stop the run. The line of scrimmage is where championships are made...

How many yards would you like them to have?

I don't disagree, but it's insane the tone that's in here this morning. It was the first game! It wasn't bad coaching to rely on the running game against a divisional opponent on the road in Harris' second start. The most important thing was to get out of there with a win.

You mean the 2 TDs that were called back?
Oh, game plan worked. Penalties happened. But I kmow you only want 74-0 games, Ole Miss guy.

We will see how Ole Miss does next week.

Great stat! We had 200 more rushing yards than them. They had 11 more first downs, and missed a game winning fg to beat us. But, we out rushed them by 200.
