Well the running backs still sucked either way.

I disagree. The running game did suck though.

I’m not sure if this was the offense Brady used.
we had very few different runs in 19. mostly some form of duo or zone play involving a detached tight end. but they were usually paired with some sort of rpo which kept defenses honest

RB, like the OL, is another position group where O's recruiting has been a miserable failure.
No wonder the team has no running game. He can't recruit talent at any position pertaining to it
John Emery is only a mere 5 star that we took from Georgia.
O has recruited rb just fine. And don't pretend you weren't all moist in your bottoms when Kevin Faulk was promoted.

In a zone blocking scheme(which LSU is running), it's mostly one on one match ups as a result of down blocks. The entire line down blocks to the same side and picks up the first person to cross their face. Well.... it's pretty damn hard to run an inside zone when the middle of that zone gets pushed 3 yards into the backfield.
In short, Shanahan is really messing up our ability to run the football, and Lloyd Cushenberry was by far the most undervalued player on the 2019 team.

What are his career stats?

Inside zone as your only run play with your center being a transfer from Harvard is a recipe for disaster. Establish some runs behind Ingram and Deculus if you can and then go from there.

Apparently we only ran 2 of our running plays all game. How is that possible?
Comes with being young but Peetz got scared and went straight pass heavy when we couldn’t run

That is laughable. Emery was a 5 star, and TDP was highly ranked 4 star. If they can't block em you ain't running on them. Did you blame Fornette for only gaining 30yards against the gumps?
