LSUs worst case scenario is coming true A&M to the SEC, a Tulane coach who is making major inroads in the metro nola area, and current/former player turmoil with the program.

It's hilarious to me that people keep saying he should've played QB when they've never seen him play a down on a college field.

Some of you are the same clowns that said Trindon Hoiliday wouldn't stand a chance in the NFL.

Shep sucks. If he were any good he would be on the field. But Boone, a freshman last year in OB passed him up.

You clowns can keep trying to justify your arguments by his rival rankings all you want, but all I see is you crying trying to solidify your "I told you so arguments."

Easy to take down
Couldn't catch
Doesn't have the arm to play QB

He couldn't hack it. Get over it

Trindon has a special skill set to fill a niche need in the NFL.

Please tell me wtf RS has that makes him NFL worthy. Scouts don't give a flying frick about your 5* rating from 4 years ago.

The stupidity and sticking up for an overrated player is just absurd. He wasn't misused. He just wasn't what everyone hoped he'd be. I'm sure he busted his arse and worked hard, but he just didn't have it.

I never said that. Even still, Trindon made a LOT more plays at LSU than Shep did.

He was never a WR, but the coach kept trying to make him a WR. His skill was running with the football in his hands, and his carries dropped by over 50% the last two years.

Fact is Shep just wasn't very good. And from someone that was at LSU in the program under Miles for 3 years the players absolutely love Miles.

Les Miles fans shite on players every day to justify their live for the HC. It's a program, and those players make a lot of sacrifices to stay 4 years and play. They are as important to the program as the coach those people idolize.

Likely bc we have kids like Jeremy hill, ware, hilliard, blue for a time among others. LSU has a wealth of talent at RB.

He was never playing qb at the next level, never. We recruit players and tell them we send guys to the nfl. He wasnt fricking lied to. These dudes have way too much entitlement. You got ur fricking degree. Be happy.

Whether it's a special skill set or not the point is he made the NFL after countles idiots on here said he wouldn't. That is all I'm sayin, now what skills does Shepard have, I don't know because I saw him in limited action for LSU, but if he does make an NFL team. Then I would have to say people on here need stfu and stop being armchair scouts because the problem is clearly Les Miles and staff for not giving these players the PT they deserved when they were at LSU. And Shepard would not be the first or last I'm sure.

Could be. But with virtually the same stable of backs, his carries dropped to 7 in 2011. The staff tried to make him a WR, which he never ever was and never was going to be.

If he played Shep over Landry you people would be bitching. Coaches play the best and most coachable players.

Because his ability to run with the ball wasn't that good either. You barely touch his feet, he's down.

Great high school career would have been great in a spread offense like Oregon or Arizona. He didn't fit at LSU. Therefore, he had very little worth in his abilities

It is what it is. Sugar coat Shep all you want, but he just isn't that good. He'll be about as successful as Darren Thomas in the NFL.

I honestly never saw him as a RB either. I still remember being confused on the hype he was getting. He didn't have the size to be some elite QB. I really thought he'd come here and play corner.

I thought Pat White when I saw him.

Yeah, like who the hell does he think will read the damn thing aside from a few people?

He needs to move on with his life. He chose the wrong school.

He is a gimmick player. He belonged at Oregon or WVU.

As for the "next level", he is fooling himself, but he would not be the first. They all think they are different. He'll insist he is also. He will be wrong.

Of all the things you have ever said, this is probably the least enlightened.

SHep averaged over 7 yards per carry for his career which was around 100 carries. I would call any running back who can do that, successful.

Goes to show that Miles fanatics will do anything to attack players, and protect the coach.
