Because people are afraid to point out the real problem--our defensive scheme, play-calling and execution. All 3 point to the defensive coaches and therefore ultimately Miles.

Can't say anything negative about Miles, ya know.

IMO having 2 defensive coordinators is retarded. We should have went out and got some stud.

Lee is just of good of a passer as Flynn is now.

he just doesnt have the speed to bail out when the pocket breaks down like Flynn did

lee also doesn't have touch on the deep ball like flynn did. by far flynn's best passing attribute

I thought Flynn sucked at the deep ball..most of his INT's came on deep passes either A)being underthrown or B)being inaccurate

well i don't know if lee has really completed 1 deep pass accurately (i still don't count that one against AU b/c i think that was meant for somebody else). flynn had a bunch of deep balls to d byrd last year that were money

the most notable advantages for lee are:

1) His foot is not hurt, so he is not sailing his throws high and off-target since he does not have lower body anchor issues while throwing

2) He has a stronger arm naturally and is not a running QB, which brings you back to #1

3) He does not have a hurt shoulder

4) He is not in the first year of a new Offensive coordinator

5) He does not have an unsupportive and distracting Rp looking over his shoulder continuosly

those are 5 things to help you slo-arse out in such an evaluation.

Flynn did have a few nice deep throws...the majority of them were pretty easy throws to the WR.

Lee really hasnt went downfield much, and when he has, there really hasnt been anything there.

What I said only applies to those that think that Lee is the problem and we should turn the QB spot over to Hatch.

Agreed.

But we must attack man coverage more and see what Lee can do in this area.

You are a slave to statistics.

J. Lee absolutely needs more time.

Plus, you ignore the fact that Flynn had a fairly long stretch in the middle of the year where he played poorly due to the ankle injury.

Which is akin to saying you are a slave to facts.

On the other hand plenty of people on this board live in their own fantasy world where facts don't matter.

so did RP...seems like the offensive philosophy this year is more geared to crossing patterns, screens, and getting the tightend more involved. maybe they should go down the field more often to see what JLee can do. D-byrd was open down the field a lot last year, i know he can do it again this year
