i would like to see miles let rs play a whole series at qb

RS wants to play QB. I think he should just be completely moved to wr, and just be like percy. I think the LSU coaching staff are humoring him, but ultimately he will move to another position because he is a competitor and wants the ball more.

Maybe it's because Florida didn't have Brandon lafell, Charles Scott, lowland Williams, Richard dickson, trindon holliday, and Terrence tolliver - there are lots of guys that can get in the game without fumbling who have earned their dues
Florida had to figure out a way to get touches for Chris Leak, Tim Tebow, Deshawn Wynn, Andre Caldwell, Percy Harvin, Jemalle Cornelius, Cornelius Ingram, and Dallas Baker.

Once again, it is still the difference between a guy who has made it very clear he wants to give QB a try (Shepard) vs Harvin who never limited his initial year to a particular position. Comparing apples and grapefruit, but I do appreciate you clearing up the total yards. Thanks!

My brother believes his ultimate position will be WR also. I really would like to see him also return punts if he can field them. Trindon H. has been a good kick returner but IMO not a very good punt returner. That kick that Georgia made that outkicked their coverage would have been returned for a TD by a good PR. Trindon got 16 yards.

Then maybe a better comparison would be RS and Tebow. Tebow was a true freshman backing up an established all conference QB. Tebow still had over 800 yards from scrimmage. He threw the ball 33 times as a freshman, ran it 89 times, and played in every game (came up big in the big games as well). Tebow was a QB. RS wants to try QB. Maybe that is a better comparison. Tebow put up those numbers with a proven guy ahead of him. RS has nobody ahead of him yet he still isn't given a chance at all.

Harvin also battled a high ankle sprain his Freshman year - he was very limited for a month or so in mid-season, including the LSU game. He didn't get healthy until November and played a key role there on after.

but he hasn't exactly been great when he has played.
he's been our most effective offensive player everytime he has touched the ball

Makes more sense but I would counter with a couple of things. First, Leak was very established as an experienced, top notch SEC QB. LSU needs as many snaps as they can get with their starting QB who is far less experienced than Leak was. Second, Florida had a better OL that year than LSU has this year. And Tebow is a very tough guy even as a TR FR...Shepard has already literally been bodyslammed twice on tackles. I think the last thing you want to do is to give Shepard 12 touches a game. He won't last the season that way.

Who on the team averages more YPC than him?
Exactly! Give RS more touches. I believe that Les/Crowton play the younger players in positions where they HAVE to and then hog-tie them instead of letting them play to their strengths. RS doesn't have to play, in their mind. I think that RS would give opposing coaches fits in game-planning, even if it is only 6-8 touches per game. Whatever it takes to win...

Different situation, Tebow was going to be the QB the next year, no questions asked...

if oyu have eyes you can see they are very different players. Florida used tebow like a battering ram. still do, but it was more exclusive, and when they stacked the box he did those dunk passes.
