The Rougarou open the season tonight at Pete Goldsby field. The baseball is pretty good, the concessions are great and cheap and the tickets are usually paid for by a sponsor. If you’ve never been, it’s a damn good time if you like baseball. There is a cat from LSUE on the team so this thread is LSU related before you start bitching.

Here is the roster

Honestly the stadium is what it is but the experience is good, especially if you have kids. There is a ton of fan engagement and it’s honestly a really good time. Unless you’re a-hole and hate everything.

I don't like that team just for the simple fact that NicolasTiger likes them. Maybe ill become a fan once he quits on them too.

Why are the cane cutters playing them in BR every time? Did they lose Fabachur field?

I went to a game a few years back. I invited my buddy Nick to meet me, and he challenged me to a duel on tigerdroppings. But of course, he never showed.

I couldn’t tell you but I’ll take all the home games I can get. We haven’t gone out of town to watch them before but I think we will this summer. I feel confident the other stadiums are better.

Hey Ronnie,

I wish, that SOB can get LSU baseball season tickets. I’m not a millionaire so I have to wait until I can find an old couple to sell me theirs.

For what position? 3B or Catcher?

He has played SS, 3B, and Catcher at JUCO. I'd guess they're looking at him as an all around utility guy.

Hit's left handed, is huge and athletic. Could probably also play corner outfield if needed.

His catching stats are not inspiring. He had 11 PBs. I was thinking 3rd was the most likely spot, but who knows.

Kid is 6'4", 215 lbs as a freshman. For comparison, Jared Jones was 6'4" and 230 lbs as a freshman; Ethan Frey was 6'5" and 215 lbs. Based on athleticism alone, would he be closer to Frey or Jones in your opinion?

Frey. Champagne was also a HS QB drawing football interest from lower level schools, like Frey.

That's in the hood. Do you have to worry about your car getting jacked while watching the game?

I truly hope that the new St George complex builds a showcase stadium that the Rougarou could use…. It’s the only thing holding them back. IMO. Ronnie’s done good work promoting and building this league.
