We started 2

Deculus didn’t start against Auburn, Magee did.

How many OC’s have we had since 2010? 5, 6, or 7???

And yet, we continued motion after that game and the penalties dwindled. Obviously that was a poor correlation on Orgeron's part.

Agreed, but you can't fault the man for not protecting his freshman. Most reasonable people would probably have done the same thing. That and it's a new offense, it's not like the upperclassmen knew it 100% so the younger guys can't even ask them.

People badmouthing Canada are blowing my mind.
O hired him to run an offense and then wouldn't let him run his fricking offense.
Of course it didn't work out.

Ok so now it is clear and easy to see where our offensive strategy is headed and it is straight back to a pro-style offense. Which I am ok with because if it is Ensimger leading the charge I think he will do it differently than what Miles did. Face it no matter who was the OC when Miles was here it was Miles offense plain and simple. Hopefully, the offense will be different than when Miles ran it with more passes to the TE's and RB's out of the backfield. But if it isn't then all you "O" haters will get their wish because if it isnt "noticeably" different than the results will be the same we won't beat Bama and "O" will be fired.

It is evident that Coach O didn't have much input in the hiring of Canada but had everything to do with the "let's call it what it is" the firing of Canada. So plain and simple the LSU faithful saw what Canada's offense did this year and given another year of familiarity with his offense I believe year 2 would have been very exciting to watch and very successful also. So this is all on "O" he if the offense sputters at all next year it literally could the undoing of Coach O's dream job for him.

I hope he is successful because I became a big fan of his this year, but something tells me this is the beginning of a huge cluster frick. I hope and pray I am wrong.

you people really under the idea that Canada didnt run his offense the first 4 games and most of the season
Im sure O handcuffed Canada considerably. If Orgeron didn't meddle in Canada's offense then there would be no reason for Canada to hate Orgeron as he does. im sure O lied saying the offense was all Canadas.

I like Canada’s offense. The notion that he wasn’t allowed to run his offense is ridiculous. Outside of 1 half we saw Canada’s offense all year. He did th best he could with what we had

Best we ran on Bama and overall played Bama the last few years with Canada’s offense (with a very average QB). We connect on a few passes and it’s possibly a different outcome. O had better know what he’s doing and have someone in the wings besides Ensminger. Allegedly they were running Ensminger old plays against Troy.

I don't get why people wouldn't be at ease with ensminger. Hell, his offense was more productive than Canada's and he's solely responsible for our highest rated recruit.

He's a better recruiter than Canada and from what I saw in 8 games last year, he's a better OC

Lol you serious Clark?

Ensminger's O is basically what we have been bitching about for the last umpteen years.

People want to look to pin Troy on O or the offensive play calling but it came down to lack of execution. What, 4 turnovers? Gave up 200 on the ground to their RB. That’s why we lost. We weren’t ready to play. It wasn’t the play calling, that is just the scapegoat

Goddamn lester you're really good at twisting words to make your argument worth a shite

then again you're also of the belief that this split is all on Canada wanting out.

The plays are similar. That was never the problem. It was the sequencing with Miles. Ensminger calls a better game.

Like I said earlier, hiring him looks bland on paper but it wouldn’t be a catastrophe

I didn't think and still don't think it was the right hire for the program that I care deeply about. It isn't some personal vendetta. If that is "bashing", then I'm guilty as charged. I've even said he did a solid job of avoiding a total collapse after the early-season shite show and given him props for the OL coach hire. Not sure what you want me to do besides just shut up and never express an opinion on my favorite team unless it's glowing praise.

the guys on the radio, said it came from players that they basically tried installing a new offense or rather the old offense the week of that game....but sure Les that was Canada's offense

Well if what was said in the interview is true about O and Canada fighting and O wanting to install the old offense then yea they were unprepared.

I would be unprepared too if I was told to do 2 different things all week and my coaches were fighting all week. That's on O, Canada was hired to run the offense, let the man do his job

What am I twisting? Do you really think Canada didn’t call plays until after the Troy game?

Or that cutting down on the pre snap movements was a bad thing?

What’s your beef?

I didn’t say th split was all on Canada. I said he wants out. He triggered everything. We know he didn’t get along with O so yes it’s 2 sided. But he isn’t being fired

BigJ I’ve been acknowledging this whole thread that the offense was changed for Troy. Where do I say that was Canada’s offense? You’re misreading

we steamrolled some bad teams with Guice playing out of his mind. Yeah Steve was a better playcaller than CC/LM but that doesn't mean he should be the OC. O promised the best coordinators in the country, does steve fit that bill to you?
