Only way he would do better would be to come back and pull a Steven Strasburg. Don't see that happening. Good luck to him.

Was absolutely shocked when he went 8th round. Definitely a good idea to take that and go with it.

I was surprised as well, but there is no denying his talent. If he could consistently play at his top level, he could go a good bit higher next year. I guess it is smart not to gamble on that since he has been very inconsistent for two years in a row now.

Good call, Ross. You would have been the ace of the staff in '11, but now we'll see if Matulis is finally ready.

I wasn't surprised at all he went in the 8th round. He's got potential.
