I meant at the north gates of LSU. He lived in the ones by the Chase Bank on state street. High end for students.

the question is what is the extent of lsu's role in investigating into a player's living situation? is lsu supposed to check every monthly rent payment to determine the origination of the payment? that can not be. perhaps they ordred a review of everybody's living situation and found out that shep had moved apartments without notifying them.

My best guess is this is discounted rent compared to other tenants living in the facility. This would not be unheard of, but we shall see.

If they do get a stipend for what it would cost to live on campus, I think we're OK. The athletes that choose to live on campus live in WCA and it is more than the venue. I live in ECA and my cousin lives in the venue so I know ECA/WCA costs more

anyone else find it weird that only shep is involved in this or he is the only one made public? I find it hard to believe he was living off campus without other football players?

Saunders was one of them but he got booted for something else. 2 or 3 other players missed one or two games and may have had to reimburse the difference in rent discount they got

I dont disagree....All schools do it. But there are people on this site who are delusional and think that all these accusations dont make us look bad. We are def. under a microscope right now and all this digging makes us look bad.

the extent of lsu's involvement would seem to be to get a copy of the lease agreement and them to make sure it is a standard price, after that how are they supposed to control if a player gets a break on his rent?

You must be thinking of the wrong Venue because there is no way that's true. The Venue is way nicer. Unless ECA/WCA are 800 per month.

Similar situation could be the Dwayne Jarrett one. He lived off campus and pocketed the stipend. All he had to do was pay it back. It will all come down to who was paying for the housing.

I would be completely shocked if Shepard knowingly did something against the rules that could hurt the LSU program, given how well he has represented himself and the university.
