It's not that Smith loves the gumps as much as he hates LSU. First for beating his oSU team for NC and also going it with a Coach that is a Michigan man.

I am sure his take after the game will be how Bama gave it away rather than LSU beating Bama

both our QB's are better than AJ. I think he may give us fits at times, but all the talking heads are saying Bamas D will be too much for us to do anything and that Trent will win the game for them

Whatever. I actually am glad people are picking against us! We are the #1 team but still get to play the under dog role.

It is a win win! The icing on the cake will be when Corso puts the elephant mask on...

Ive seen Robert Smith state this on a few occasions. One time they were actually showing Lee and Jefferson's nearly identical long TD passes on the screen as he was saying how muh better Mccaron is.

So glad you posted this gif. It explains EXACTLY why I think LSU will win. The game will be tight and McCarron will make a mistake in a critical situation because he's not ready for the pressure, and all he can think about is not getting screamed at by Saban.

ex: Alabama will need the clock to stop, and AJ will slide down in bounds, because all he can remember - in that split second - is that Saban chewed his arse for going out of bounds last time he was in this situation, and it will look something like that ^^

He is from OSU, Miles is from UM. Simply put he hates Miles because of Michigan.

Smith hasn't gotten over the '07 championship game.

Honestly Corso has been drinking the purple koolaid since Gameday has been involved in LSU. He has only picked against LSU once. Not surprisingly it was against Alabama back in 07 I believe. Although I would not be at all surprised if he picks LSU. After all most of the experts...(Smith doesn't count) are leaning towards LSU. Plus if I'm not mistaken Corso had previously picked LSU to win the NC.

Regardless of who is playing, he has NEVER given any insight to anything. When there is a segment on being an asshat, that might be where he can be insightful!

I agree. The rest are just doing their jobs, but Smith legitimately hates LSU. It's so painfully obvious. He had negative things to say about our team after the Oregon game and after Florida game. I mean seriously dude...

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed his anti-LSU bias. It's been going on for years. Never gives them credit for being any good.

His reason is without a doubt the most logic-defying statement I have ever heard:

...McCarron is spreading the ball around right now

Whatever that means

Reminds me of the bud light commercial..real men of genius...

FWIW..Just had lunch with the pres. of the REC here in Mobile--his thoughts are similar to mine--2 great teams, whoever protects the ball wins.
Turnovers and miscues will decide the game.
He also said McCarron concerns him as well. Then I pointed out what Robert Smith said and I can't print what he said about Robert Smith!
