Former LSU tailback and NFL Hall of Fame member passed away today at the age of 91. Well before my time and most likely anyone on TD, but it's sad to see a legend gone.

Here's a HOFer who's hardly mentioned as an LSU great, it seems. Why is that?

When my Grandma dies I won't be sad, and she wouldn't want me being sad. She's already 92

He was an all timer in the NFL and led the Eagles to back to back titles, their first and second. They have only won one since. Pretty amazing that he was an NFL star in the 40s and lived until now.

In the same way that Billy Cannon wasn't.

LSU completely dropped the ball by not promoting one of the greatest players of all time as one of our own.

RIP SVB

I have film of this guy playing for LSU in the 40s. You would all love the way he played. Much faster than anyone on the field and very, very tough.

Sad to see him go.

Just as sad that LSU never took the time or the interest to feature him prominently as an LSU football alumnus. LSU sucks... And I mean rock-bottom sucks at promoting its history. It's like no one cares over there.
