We literally just talked to Miles, and he said nothing new. Wouldn't be the first time he said held off telling us anything, but word from LSU was that nothing new on Ridley situation.

Like I said, just finished talking to Les after the teams practice. Saw Ridley walking out of locker room to the team bus, but nothing new from Les.

ETA: good source, good news.

Give me the long list of better backs coming out this year. I think you'll find about 2 that may grade higher by NFL scouts. I just dont see the upside of staying.

ha, well hopefully he's right, and LSU will make a statement later. We're doing the Beef Bowl tonight, so I'll see what we can find out later.

Not entirely. Ridley's stock will be hard to improve. His speed will keep him in the 3rd-4th round area probably, regardless of what he could possibly do as a senior.

Is Ridley going pro after this year? Can't say I'd blame him. He's 4th year Junior and I don't know if he would do better than 1st team All-SEC and over 1,000 yds rushing. Look at what happened to Charles Scott when he came back. Still, I'd love for Ridley to stay and he's probably a 3rd-4th round pick no matter what he does.

backs like Ridley are a dime a dozen. He wouldn't go before round 5 FOR SURE.

I said this shite the day they announced that he was ineligible and my freaking thread got whacked. I want some sort of compensation for what I said. I had good sources too jackass.

Irving, Texas - LSU running back Stevan Ridley has been cleared to play in Friday's AT&T Cotton Bowl, a source at the school said Monday afternoon.

Ridley was declared ineligible by the school for an academic infraction but appealed to the NCAA. He is LSU's leading rusher with 1,042 yards and 14 touchdowns on 225 carries.

Ridley got the word after LSU's Monday practice at Cowboy's Stadium and he was seen hugging LSU Coach Les Miles. LSU is expected to make an official announcement later today.

you think Ridley is better than Chris Ivory, Pierre Thomas, or Arian Foster?

I meant his speed would keep him from going any higher than that. I think 3rd or 4th is probably an optimistic draft position for him.

ahhh yeah. 3rd or 4th is extremely optimistic. Hey, I hope he goes high in the draft but I can't see it.

Time will tell what his career will be, but he'll perform well enough at the combine to get into the 3rd round,I think. Sure wish he'd stay one more year, though.

You seem to know alot about this. Off the top of your head give me the top 5 backs in the draft this year.
