not to mention two oline told me personally that RJF was harder to block than dorsey was

he is the reason chaz ramsey is being a pussy and trying to redshirt this year.
fear of his life for what would happen if he tries to chop block rjf.
rjf would pick him up as he was going low and toss him into burns.

RJF is a savage. I don't think there is any doubt about that. Hopefully he keeps his grade up because it would be a shame to not see that type of talent on the field

Ricky Jean is not my lover. He's just a man who says that I am the one...but the kid is not my son.

Don't tell the Trojan spy anything! Ricky Jean must remain our secret weapon

Tangerine, what is your moniker on SC boards? Do you post on SC boards?
Geaux Trojans!

Nobody mentioned the play on the 1 yard line in 3rd? quarter where he completely owned the lineman and pushe him 3 yards into the backfield into wells and took him down. Not as memorable because they scored a TD on the next play but it was out of control!!!!
This clip doesn't do it justice. If you have the championship DVD, watch it in slow mo from the side angle, and you will see his explosiveness off the ball. I thought it was more impressive than the block.

Great play in the two games he played. SEC championship and the NC. Look forward to see him play.

Wow, it looked pretty impressive from that angle. He just ate that dude.
What I noticed from that clip and the blocked fg clip is that he gets low in his stance, and when the ball is snapped drives low and forward into his man and then comes up. At that point he's got the leverage and momentum. His man is either driven back or stood up where an O-lineman can be easily beat. Great technique along with gorilla strength=low first round pick.
In terms of a hypothetical LSU-USC matchup, I'd like LSU's chances. LSU would have a big advantage with their D-line going against SC's inexperienced O-line.

Ricky Jean?
A flame by any other name still burns the board.

RJF is highly revered around this parts because he's flat out produced whenever he's been on the field.
IMO, what makes him so good is his track and field background. He was a very good shot put and discus thrower in high school, and he's had decent success in college, too. A good thrower has to be very explosive and have good feet -- both qualities that are beneficial for a lineman.

Kind of like Garland Jean-Batiste.

I mostly post on the rivals SC board (USCFaninBatonRouge). WeareSC is too cumbersome for my pace. Read wearesc.com the most by far though.

Thanks for the RJF vids. I finally got a chnace to look and see what you all mean. Just had never focused in on him, but heard all the hype (which seems dead on).
