Something about that blog makes me think RJF may not have said those things. The whole article reeks of the "Saban post-game transcript debacle" from a few years ago.

Honestly, the same thought entered my mind too. Is this maybe some sort of "joke blog"?

The man obviously thinks that he and the rest of the LSU defense will take Tebow out...let's not get wadded panties over this..Let's hope he backs up his talk by dropping tebow for a loss on more than one occasion

definitely pushing the envelope on acceptable pre-game hype, RJF. But sounds tempered with respect, so if I had to make a ruling...its ok. Just NEVER take it this far again.

Now, if you back this up on the field and send Tebow into ANOTHER bout of tears, I will gladly STFU and you may espouse whatever thoughts come into that freakishly hard head.

Hum?? I am afraid it shows NO sportsmanship at all. We should show all the class we have, or I felt we had, for LSU, Moms and Dads who are considering sending their kids to LSU etc...

Real real disappointing!!!!!

I went back and looked at the page, and some comments to the blog. Nothing suggests that it isn't real quotes.

He has definitely not looked 'unblockable' so far this year.

After all his youtube videos and talk this summer, I expected more. He needs to make another video to edit the number 1 pick crap.

well DTs going #1 are rare, but he's going to likely work out well enough to warrant top 10 consideration

it's hard for a DT to make an impact against spread or spread option teams, and that's most of what we faced

we haven't gone up against an offense that would allow a DT to wreck havoc yet really, except MSU, and he got hurt

Besides if they need "bulletin board material" to get hyped up for this game they're gonna have a problem.

I've never understood the significance of bulletin board material. It's something for sportswriters to talk about.

but is this a little over the top and considered "bulletin board" material?
I've always thought "bulletin board material" wasn't as effective as fans make it out to be. Mainly it provides a storyline for the sideline reporter to talk about during the game but it rarely effects the outcome. Hell Tressell made a 10 minute DVD of "bulletin board material" before the BCSCG but it didn't amount to shite because we were more than they could handle. If we win or lose the game it won't be b/c of an RJF quote on a blog, even if Sportcenter says it is.

I agree with you. I just don't want any of our players to come across as disrespectful. I think we can win and win with class. Now what happens if Tebow really does get hurt by RJF? Even if it's a clean hit. Or if RJF gets a late hit penalty on him? Now all of a sudden people will start talking about him like we did Chaz. I don't want that. I don't even want the implication of that. In my opinion, he crossed a line in some of the things he said. Screw the bulletin board material part of it, I'm talking about the respect part of it. He showed Tebow respect with one comment, but then referred to taking him out and having him in their medical facility on Sunday. I don't like it.

Not good. He shouldn't say this stuff, even if it's true. Hit him as hard as we can, yes. Try to injure him? No. This is needless motivation for Florida and sounds almost like dirty play.

I agree. Not a classy thing to say. Makes himself look bad IMO.
