I'm referencing the Quarter incident where one of the kids' mother was NOPD. Just pointing out the problems I see with a plainclothes officer putting hands on someone...confusion can clearly occur.
That's why I'm more hesitant to believe that they knowingly clocked a cop. I mean...even the stupidest criminals tend to not start punching cops.

yeah but the incident started while Sampson yelled expletives at the cop WHILE HE WAS ARRESTING A DIFFERENT PERSON.
Tough to claim you had no idea when you witness him arresting someone else.

Like I said before, the version of the story I heard was that Jefferson and sharp were protecting Sampson who took off and punches were thrown before the cops identified themselves. They did not identify themselves until after one of them got dropped and they lost complete control of the situation. All of that for a speculated possession of a weapon. How would they have known that? They were undercover just waiting for a high school student to show up with a gun?

So you really think Jefferson started throwing punches as his friend was getting cuffed? That doesn't make sense. I'm telling you this report is bogus. I don't know how much of the report is true or the information I've heard is true, but I would imagine they are both embellished a bit.
By the way, a ton of destrehan students were at the scene of all races so I don't know why everyone is pulling the race card out.
