what exactly is so damn important about naming a #1 RB?

it just seems to create dissension among the rb corp itself

You think these motherfrickers are on the goddamn coaching staff? You think what is posted on here makes a flip with the chemistry among the running backs?

When the 3rd stringer is the best on the team, it happens.

Richard Murphy will establish himself as...
the starting RB by the first game of his senior season.

It is, and shall always be, running back by committee.

RBBC is not what miles prefers unless there isn't a #1 back

otherwise there is a #1 back who gets primary carries, and #2RBBC

LSU ran the ball 612 times for 3,377 yards. Hester ran the ball 225 times for 1118 yards. He had roughly 1/3 of the carries and 1/3 of the yards. 2/3 of the carries/yards came from the other 4 running backs. That would constitute a RBBC by any stretch of the imagination.

i disagree

hester was the #1 back with the majority of the carrie in almost every game

the #2 backs have about even carries

this isn't the NFL. your backup RBs are going to get a shitload of carries in CFB due to blowouts

if you wanna see a RBBC split, go look at the 2006 split of carries. but even then we were just looking for that #1 guy, which keiland became at the UT game

jimbo did it

crowton/porter had a bunch of head scratchers last year which made me doubt the validity of this statement under their coaching

Rocket channeling his inner Hot Carl.

And I agree that we didnt have a true running back by committee. Hester was clearly the number 1 guy and got his carries despite who had the hot hand.

in 2005, when he was healthy, addai was our #1 guy. the problem was he was always hurt

in 2006 the coaches refused to play scott/keiland and couldn't find a #1. then UT happened and keiland was the guy

in 2007 it was all hester, all the time

I feel bad. I shouldn't have used such language. The guy is a probably a fellow Miles Maniac.

I think some folk have different ideas on what a commitee may be.

Auburn, maybe. But they quit running with anyone that game.

Hester ran 9 times for 50 yards. Pretty good numbers

They stuck with the hot hand vs ARK..it was Hester
