I agree about being way too conservative at our 45 with 2 minutes left. And we had 3 timeouts. I liked the call on 1st down, but after that you have got to let JJ throw in that situation.

Got conservative on the goal line. LSU shouldve come away with a TD

Yea, I agree that we got conservative, but I still liked the end result

Agree with your comments and especially this:

Eric Reid had an AMAZING game. Clearly Player of the Game. Was everywhere. Tackles with great technique.

Claiborne also had a big deflection in the end zone.

For all that was said about Bama having better safeties with Barron (He had one interception on a pretty easy catch) Reid and Taylor were huge factors in the game. Their ability to come up and make plays on Richardson and help the D-line up front in run support really was a huge factor of the LSU gameplan. There isn't much more to be said about the great play Reid made on the interception. Taylor played fantastic and really has been lights out almost all season. He really has more than earned the 18 jersey he is wearing.

Good observations. Neither team played their best but I do feel, other than their place-kickers, that 'Bama was closer to their A-game than LSU which just tells you how good this team really is. Lee, Randle, Ware, Simon, Minter, and Mathieu usually all play better than they did last night.

this is ultimately why we win. I thought he played it perfectly. We had a huge advantage in OT, and i didn't realize it until we won the toss.

Les realized it much sooner.

We should have ended it in regulation. Instead of Ware hitting the line we should have done the jump pass.

And I really freaked out the LSU fans at the bar I was at. When Saban iced Alleman I said, "Wonder if Les will run the blind pitch fake field goal for the win." They all went white. With Les it just seemed all too possible.

In reference to the no more fb dive comments...... I really hope you realize that is a setup play. If you occasionally give the dive to a proven runner (hilliard obviously) then it forces those linebackers to respect it, and slow down.

That's what we wanted, and all we needed. If they hesitate a half second on the fake dive (which they did) before we turn and pitch it to Ford blazing to the edges, we will get to the edge first every time. That fb dive was critical in the HUGE success of Ford on the corners.

Miles was playing Saban football and we still won!

I am having trouble finding the one hour replay on CBS. Do you have a link so I can rewatch it?
