Look, Clemson was the better team that night. No doubt about it. But that was a perfect storm of events that lead to the blowout score. That should have been a much closer game. Bama repeatedly moved the ball up and down the field only to turn into the bad news bears every time they got into the red zone, where they became comically bad.

That is the key to this game tonight. Score touchdowns in the red zone. Alabama and Ohio State lost to Clemson solely because of their inability to do so.

The first 2 times Bama got into the RZ they scored 10 points. The 3rd time they got into the RZ, they had a turnover on downs. By then the score was already 37-16.

You clearly didn't watch the game. Thanks for the insight, though.

Game was over by the time Bama started struggling in the Redzone.

Clemson was well coached on both sides of the ball.

On defense they knew Tua didnt look at coverage post snap and baited him into 2 INT's.

On offense they picked on a couple of DB's who had to play for bama due to injury. They found a couple of weak links and exploited them.

LSU does not have either of these issues.

Clemson had a MUCH better defensive line last year. 3 of the taken in the first 17 picks.

Clemson isn't near as good as they were last year. They would have been a 2+ loss SEC West team. Even if they did have their 3 first round pick DLs from last year, they aren't beating this LSU team.

Tuna was a mental midget in that game and Venables played him like a fiddle. Tonight Joe will be Maestro and speed will kill

And you realize one of them didn't play and his back up was the best defensive player in the game

First downs, yards, and TOP definitely would have had you think the game was very even. Throwing pick-6's, having to go for it on 4th and long several times instead of taking the points, faking FG's, etc. were just low probably stuff that just didn't go for bama. Clemson receivers were also making circus catches that haven't been making this year. It was very similar to the Auburn game for us this year. Scoreboard didn't jive with the gameplay and stats.

Oh so I’m supposed to be impressed that the other 2 top 10 picks who played endured double teams and a backup 5 star had a slight impact? Delusional if you think Clemson is as good as they were last year

Bill Parcells does not agree with your assessment. He picked Lawrence over Burrow on ESPN radio last evening. But I’m sure you know more than he does. Why don’t you have Joe show Trevor his National Championship ring and his National Championship game MVP trophy. Oh, you mean he doesn’t own them! Imagine that!!

Hey bud, not sure if you have looked at any of the games or if you are just going off what Bill Parcells says. But I am not quite sure any reasonable person can put any QB above Joe Burrow this year. Long term sure, go for it give it to Sunshine who knows. But this year?

Its not close.

and quite a few RECENT pro-football coaches like Burrow......you know. The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner. Yeah. The one where he won it by a historical margin. Yeah. That guy. The same guy who's claimed numerous records against actual defensive teams.

you are so sad

End of story. We stalled in the RZ and inside Auburn's territory. That was the only time this year that happened. We can't let that happen tonight!
