We've recently updated our review of the fan experience at the PMAC: PMAC Stadium Review
For those of you who frequent the PMAC for LSU basketball games, what's your favorite thing about the gameday experience? What's the one thing you'd like to see added or changed?

Upgrade the 1980s jumbotron. Easily should be the first thing done.

he seems overly kind to the atmosphere and fans. The PMAC can be a great place for a game but more often than not is quite lame.

After they fix the jumbotron they need to get rid of that stupid sprawling media center next to the student section.
Who the hell ever thought that was a good idea is a goon.

Guy gives a great review and here come the complaints.
if he bashed the place, let me guess, more complaints how he hates lsu.
jeez.
PMAC can be a great place. One inaccuracy in the article is the comment about selling out. Must have been there for kentucky

Anyone else find it odd that a place called Taco Churros sells nothing remotely Tex-Mex?
I've only been in the PMAC for events, never at a game.

There actually is a reason for it being there (albeit not a good one). When the student section was moved away from center court to give season ticket holders better seats, they picked that side so that the "rowdy" students could sit closer to the away bench and give them hell. Also, NCAA rules prohibit the student section from being less than 2 "sections" away from the away bench unless the student section takes up the entire lower bowl as some stadiums do. The reason the media is there is so there is a "section" of people and the tunnel in between.
At least that's the response I got when I asked athletics about it when the student section first got moved.

There is some cajun place that serves jambalaya and stuff but I forgot what it is called. I think the food selection is quite good.
I think it's a pretty good representation of the PMAC if we are playing Kentucky. Hopefully next year it will be like UK game for at least all of the SEC schedule.

They could easily make the whole bowl the student section. I guess they dont because students hardly show up. But on the same token that media center is 80% empty too most games.

As a basketball season ticket holder, the lack of halftime entertainment sticks out. Also, the t.v. and official timeout "entertainment" could use a little upgrade. It's always the same old.
And the jumbotrons for sure.

all of this. I missed one game last year so I'm qualified to critique:
The jumbotron is poo (this I care about)
The halftime entertainment is horrific. How many times do I have to see spastic bafoons miss layups. (this I dont care about).
I like the band but would like to see more energy infused into the crowd a-la some piped music
All in all, the pmac is the tits

Definitely not the shitty seats that make it painful on anyone who is 5'8 or taller's knees.

The best way LSU could improve the PMAC would be getting a bigger turnout from students... How they do that I'm not sure. Possibly if they were to do some kind of priority point thing for all games, IDK.
When I was there, you got points for all games you went to and there were give-a-ways based on how many games you went to. It was pretty sweet. I think things like that could help get more students there and ultimately that would be the best way to increase the atmosphere in the PMAC.

This. If they awarded student priority points (which affect football away game student ticket distribution) for every game, the students would show up. Really, the AD could award points for all athletic events, and that would increase attendance for all of them.
Also, the video board. What we have now is pathetic.
