I'm not even saying it isn't. Had I been in the student section, I'd have been right there with them. Doesn't change my opinion on us being above it though.

We shouldn't have. I was in an Ole Miss section, and I told their fans us rushing the field was embarrassing.

but we are better than that as a program.

Meh, I dont disagree, but I didnt have a problem with it.

I had an Ole Miss fan talk some shite about it and my response was very simple. As a football program you've been relevant twice in 11 years...and we beat you both times.

I can't possibly understand how someone in the student section could have been there, with all those emotions and excitement, and thought "eh..this is too embarrassing guys, I'll think I'll just sit here and watch"

wtf is wrong with you people?

Who gives a shite of been there, done that. Football should be fun for players and fans. Being on the field to celebrate with the players are the greatest feeling you can experienced after an upset. How often is that????

That would be too tough a task to answer. I couldn't attend the game, but I thought the whole thing was great. And seeing the pictures after solidifies my opinion.

I was at the top of section 415 and said "Man i'd like to get down there." Then my wife looked at me and said, "you're drunk...were going home."

I've always had the act like you been there attitude, but it's been a tough season was a great win and seemed to be a good moment for players and fans alike.

It's almost like you think this sort of "cred" is going to gain you something down the road somewhere. I hope it works out for you ... I guess.

i didnt sit there and say anything. i was excited but stayed in the stands and walked out as normal. beating ole miss just isnt that big of a deal no matter what their rank is. its fricking ole piss. they have one good year and we storm the field when we beat them. nahhh. im good. I enjoyed the win but storming the field isnt my thing being an LSU fan. if i was an ole miss fan last year, i can see it. but not LSU. winning is expected here.

College newspaper reporters think they need to be contrarian to be relevant. They usually grow out of it.

This rush was justified given the accumulated doubt and frustration since 1/9. It was cathartic for everyone. If you want to be a sourpuss then find the nearest exit.

P.S.: However--when we beat Bama in two weeks, no rush. We shouldn't give them the satisfaction. Instead, I hope our full house chants "LSU!" so loud the walls crumble.

IIRC, didn't the Reveille pick Ole Miss to beat us? And didn't Corso say something about it on Game Day?

fricking kids these days think rivalry is just a word for teams we're forced to play every year.

The photo of Trey Quinn crowd surfing sums it up perfectly.

How can any LSU fan look at that pic and not get caught up in the joy of the occasion?
