It owuld be great to retire Tasmin Mitchell's jersey. Taz was a key member of two SEC champions, a Final Four team and a great leader especially his last two seasons.

He is also the third all time scorer in LSU history behind only Pete Maravich and Rudy Macklin.. Had he played one more game he would likely be the third member of the 2,000 point club.

It would also be an incredible boost to his credentials when he takes a recruit into the Assembly Center and his jersey is in the rafters with such transformational players.

Some might claim it would be like a lifetime achievent, but that would ignore his consistency and overall contributions to LSU basketball which continue today.

Love Taz, but no. That needs to be a very high bar.

They should retire his jersey for that State game when he dropped 40...and no one got to watch it.

Let's just go ahead and retire Long Snapper Austin Kinchen's jersey from 2011 season. He was the best LS all season for the tigers. The tight spiral he sent for the kickers was a thing of beauty.

Seems to be much opposition, as usual with much sarcasm and no justification for your response. At least provide reasoning .

Why would you not consider retiring the third leading scorer in school history? For reference take a look at some of the retired jerseys at Kentucky.

Its OK o be selective but there are four retired jersys in over 100 years of LSU basketball.

Pretty sure the recruit silently says to themselves "One of these things is not like the other..."

Dont believe I said that. Taz was a great player, if he sees his jersey up there next to Shaq and Pete tha certainly would elevate his standing with an impressionable 17 year old.

Don't televise the jersey retirement either. His game against Mississippi State that wasn't televised is historic as much as Pistol's scoring average is historic.

I simply don't think he's one of the elite players in our history (in fact, not even close).

Yes, nice stats, but stats don't always tell the tale.

Is a 14/7 guy worthy of a retired jersey?

So we should lower the bar to have more.

I would have to put money on the chance that you are a millennial, a liberal, or both.

That’s not a reason to retire someone’s jersey.

In fact, we have one too many in my opinion.
