Assuming he stays, it's nice in this day and age of college football to see a kid who's loyal and patient while he hones his craft and bides his time. He's a rare breed.

I agree. He showed so much loyalty watching Jontre Kirkland QB that Bowl game.

You guys are really having a hard time adjusting to NIL/Portal. There is no loyalty.

There will never be another Burrow. But Nuss has an extremely high ceiling and could be special.

I think at this point it would be safe to say that Nuss is definitely going to stay. There is now no reason for him to leave because he will have at least two years that he gets to start. And there is a good possibility that he gets significant playing time this season. I don't think its out of the question that we somewhat rotate QBs for at least a part of the season.

Time to pay Nuss. Keep him and JD and this team is playoff bound

You do realize Nuss taking that redshirt may actually be important with Walker bouncing?

Get over it. Looking back, if things play out the way it seems, that was the right decision.

….and he saved an ENTIRE YEAR of eligibility by not playing in a bowl that we were already criminally undermanned in….and that we would probably lose anyway.

And now we possibly have a 2 year starter once JD leaves. Seems like a great decision for himself and the team

Exactly. Everyone that shite on him over this and still holds a grudge should get over themselves and let it go. He made the right choice that will pay dividends for both him and the program.

Agreed. He has a great relationship with Jayden, no doubt knows the job is his after this season.

If he doesn’t get the start I hope he’s smart and stays because that OL is going to be STOUT the next year

This isn't Iwo Jima or Normandy, you idiot. It's a game. Nuss obviously did the right thing by not burning a year of eligibility, playing in a meaningless bowl game before he was ready. If you are unable to comprehend this, I don't know what to tell you.

Trying to talk sense into the Nuss haters is pointless. Yet they'll be the biggest fanboys when he has LSU competing for a natty in two years.

Maybe he wanted to be available for LSU for 4 more years instead of 3

Blame the NCAA. LSU petitioned to not have it count against Nuss' redshirt but the NCAA declined. Fast forward to this year when other teams needed that to be the case and then suddenly the NCAA says ok cool it won't count anymore

frick the NCAA

Loyal? Maybe when it suits his purpose.

To be fair, it’s just a handful of dopes. They’re too stupid to get over it.

People praising him on a winnable bowl game had he played. IF He performed well he would have had the edge for starting and JD doesn't come to LSU.
