How someone who is supposed to manage the LSU system can make a statement like that is beyond me. Either the interim tag has been removed or it hasn't. There cannot, during this coaching search, be any doubt as to who the new coach will report to............

I sure hope verge realizes he is still interim even if that designation was removed. And why the temporary status was removed should be explained. I agree with the logic that a President can’t know all there is to know in a 8 hours. Did he meet with a board or anyone who could show him personnel files before making any decisions. Did he look. All this just looks so confusing disjointed and frankly embarrassing. Someone needs to say something that will hopefully bring some understanding.

Sure but there's also 0% chance Dellenger made it up. Even Rousse's statements today sound like indecision not a denial, and if Dellenger's reporting was wrong it'd be a denial. Bottomline, they continue to look like fricking morons.
