He couldn't convince his son to go to LSU so we hire him? Got to love corrupt politics in Louisiana. I can almost hear it now. If you hire me then I'll hire you!

I hate this. No real search and Verge wasn’t hire on qualifications. If we go cheap and/or just make Frank permanent, I think the Governor will have a lot of enemies.

This proves that he's smart enough to steer his son away from Brian Kelly....

We will have a mutiny of epic proportions on our hands if Frank is made permanent HC, somehow I wouldn't be surprised if this happened, just seems like LSU could do better than Rousse and Verge at their respective positions.

What a horrible mistake. He’s a nice guy, would make a great neighbor, is going to be a terrible AD. I thought when Tate left, LSU would cease with the DEI crap. That’s 100% of what this is.

Qualified how? This guy is a career employee. He’s never been an AD in any capacity and you’re giving him the keys to your Lamborghini? LAZY HIRES GET LAZY RESULTS.

This isn’t a DEI hire. This is a promote from within hire bc we didn’t want to spend the time or money on a real search. If they just wanted a DEI hire, they would have at least done a broad and public search.

Are all the Fire Woodward fans happy now?

You interview the Best and brightest ATHLETIC DIRECTORS in the Country and choose one of them, you don’t hire the career employee who’s only newsworthy story was that he tried to cover up a Domestic Assault by Drake Davis on his gf. LAZY HIRE.

Verge is the opposite of DEI. That indicates lack of knowledge about a job and poorly qualified.

Verge has been the number 2 in the athletic department for a while.

He has been with TAF. He’s been the sports administrator for football, men’s basketball, Wbb track and field and gymnastics.

He has been promoted under 3 different athletic directors including skip Bertman.

He knows our donors and they know him.

His resume is qualified.

That was his father's name. So are you now going to mock Verge's parents for naming their son after his father?

Again..WTF is a Verge? Father, Son, same question..

If LSU football has a bad season next year and a bad season going into the 2027 Louisiana Governors election, does that make Louisianians decide to vote against Jeff Landry, for the sole fact that he fricked up our football team?

He can be #2 all those years and still not qualified for the lead role, and I’d submit that’s exactly the case. His claim to fame is all the scheduling snafu’s that have started us off on the wrong foot multiple years, and the coverup of the domestic abuse by Drake Davis gets him fired most places, instead, we promote him.

Maybe should amend what I said, it’s part DEI, and part having a dutiful puppet that the Little General can control.

A major downgrade from Woody, and I wasn’t a huge fan of him.

I will actively campaign against him regardless. He’s a vindictive little Napoleon that loves Jeff Landry.

Isn’t that the fault of the coaches who didn’t have their teams prepared for the first game of the season? Or are you saying we should always start the season with an “easy” win?

If he’s such a great AD candidate, why hasn’t someone else in Louisiana snatched him up yet? Sun Belt Conference? ACC? SEC?

One would think other schools would have been beating down his door if he wasn’t just a “former player who has been taken care of by his alma mater”.

Because it all boiled down to the fact that Landry hated Scott Woodward.
