No doubt since he's about to get popped at Baylor by the NCAA. That means he's out of contention in LSU's AD's eyes.

Alleva won't consider him after today's announcement re: recruiting violations by both Drew and Mulkey.

Popped?

I realize everyone's entitled to an opinion, but it would be prudent to do a little researching and learning before you throw out ridiculous opinions/suggestions/statements.

Correct, we can all agree that Scott Drew is the man for this job.

I'd love to see some more success for the Drew family, especially at LSU

Make it happen, Alleva

Drew is facing stiff penalties for Baylor's 1,200 illegal communications while recruiting.

What does it mean to him to compete with Kentucky? Pay off someone?

Of course anyone wants to compete with Kentucky.

Does LSU get their money back if Kentucky whips his arse?

Someone else. No. Not him. He is full of it.

Good fricking luck with that.

I'll pull out my vintage Lsu basketball autograph card with the Homer Drew signature to serve as a beacon calling Scott home.

1200 improper e-mails and phone calls. 1200? Maybe YOU should do a little "research" before commenting about others who comment with information that is readily obtainable at Baylor's own web-site.

Read the entire thread you stupid frick. This has already been beat to death in this very thread that they already self-imposed sanctions and the NCAA is likely to accept with maybe minor modifications like a 4 game suspension of Drew to start next season.

First off its 1200 from the mens and womens programs combined. Second off the worst the NCAA can come up with is phone calls and texts? Tells me he can cover his tracks because you can be damn sure hes pissed off enough coaches around the Big 12 to get them to spill any dirt they had. Bravo Drew. Alleva do your job and hire this man.

And where does it say that he's going to get "popped by the NCAA" as your previous comment implies? Go on, I'll wait. And "possible sanctions" isn't the same thing as sanctions or being penalized by the NCAA.

Then again, I already knew that, because I did some research before I offered my opinion. Also, all 1200 improper emails and phone calls you cite aren't attributable Drew and men's basketball program. You should've know that since it's readily obtainable at Baylor's own website.

Well...The NCAA as we know is not always fair (as was exposed in the Cam Newton scandal), and their rules are extremely tight, but we have to be careful that we don't get the rep as hiring a coach running from NCAA sanctions. And I understand the football program had to hand down some self-imposed sanctions and fire an assistant who was guilty of improper recruiting. I will soften my stance a little: give the guy a fair shake, but we have to be EXTREMELY careful. He did turn around a program that was basically dead. However, look how long it took to get where they are at.

The guy pulled off the single largest rebuilding project in sports history. Patrick Dennhey was MURDERED BY A TEAMMATE. I repeat. One baylor player murdered another baylor player. Thats in addition to sanctions incurred by the previous regime. Think about that. Think about going into a families house and trying to get them to send their 18 year old son to a place where that is going on. Rebuilding LSU is a cakewalk compared to that. BTW I couldnt care any less about how shady of a recruiter Drew may or may not be. He wins.

I don't guess GooberT is going to come back to explain/defend his ridiculous claims.
