I just hope he was smart enough to remove those shoes from the apartment because its obvious he did not tell them which pair it is and they took all of his shoes.

If JJ had evidence to DISPROVE the allegations at his house, don't you think he would have voluntarily given it to them. They are looking for evidence to prove the allegations and their statements acting as if they are being neutral are complete BS.
When I was in college, I got rear-ended by a drunk driver on college drive in front of McDonalds. I called the cops 3 times. After 45 min., the drunk driver split. I gave the cops the drivers license number. I called the investigator 3 or 4 times over the next month and never could even get a return call. Quite a contrast to how they are handling this.

The only reason it's so in-depth is because players are involved.

I mostly agree with that but would caution that it often depends on the severity of the injuries.
My dormmate from LSU got kicked out of LSU dental school for a bar fight where he beat some dude so bad that he damn near put him in a coma. As the story goes, the "victim" started the whole thing and my friend came to the rescue of the girl or whoever it was that the "victim" was verbally assaulting. Knowing my friend, he never started fights but he didn't hesitate to come to the rescue of a pretty lady when drunken assholes tried to abuse them. As I recall, that was the case this time. I don't remember if my friend faced legal charges but getting kicked out of dental school was a pretty big consequence.
Long story short, you don't have to be a football player to end up in deep shite with school or the law after a bar fight. But if the injuries are nothing more than a bloody nose, black eye, busted lip then yeah I'd agree with you. Broken vertebrae does up the ante a little...

How any reasonable person can think that home searches, DNA tests, warrants, and press conferences are necessary for a bar fight is beyond me.
