I do not live in Louisiana so I was wondering if there are any rumblings around the state as to who his replacement could be. I read that Les said that his replacement wouldn't be announced until after NSD. At the very least, who would you like to see fill the position?

Jabbar Juluke would be an excellent replacement. He just became an assistant elsewhere. Surely, he would jump at the chance to be an LSU assistant.

I vote for Justin Vincent.

He signed with Texas Tech last week, he is not coming here.

I think if it was Justin Vincent he would have been announced already. I think we're getting a guy coaching elsewhere and they're waiting until after signing day just out of respect.

Just curious what is the reasoning behind the wait?

Doesn't really matter much at this point.. could actually disappoint potential verbally committed recruits?

I guess there really is no reason to do it until then..

So, he can change his mind I would think. TTech isn't LSU.

Because having a vacancy in the coaching ranks allows for extra visits/in homes, etc...

Is that really how it works? I would understand that, if not I don't see the point of waiting.

Sorry, Vincent is too immature still. He is involved with the program and does some good with what he does now.

I think it actually allows Les to do more visits. At this time it is a big advantage.

burton burns.

great recruiter, but he's up there in age....

hard to see Juluke switching to LSU after just getting the TT gig...

JV, while involved in recruiting and played RB, may still need some time in the minors before getting the big league call up...

wouldn't mind seeing Larry Porter getting a call, nor Josh Henson.... sure, they may be "retreads", but their recruiting game is strong.....

They got rid of the extra visits rule. No real advantage outside of not rocking the boat with incoming recruits to waiting til after NSD

Burns is too old despite good connections. Juuluke would be solid, but TT job as mentioned. David Johnson at Tulane will get a look and I would like to see Porter back.
